Son Bou

Son Bou

Son Bou stretches along Menorca’s southern coastline as the island’s longest beach, a vast arc of golden sand opening onto shallow turquoise waters. Located within the municipality of Alaior, its expansive scale and relatively open surroundings make it a landmark of the southern coast, where the landscape combines dunes, low vegetation and a completely unobstructed horizon facing the Mediterranean.

The experience at Son Bou is defined by openness and continuity of space. Its shallow waters allow for comfortable and secure anchorage, ideal for relaxed swimming, snorkelling activities and prolonged stays on board within a luminous and stable environment. From the sea, the beach appears as an uninterrupted line of sand, with a more open character than many of Menorca’s smaller coves, creating a sense of freedom and fluid navigation. Within a charter route, Son Bou functions as a versatile stop along the southern coast, suitable both as a swimming point and as a transition between different anchorages along the eastern and southeastern sectors of the island.
