Son Bou

Son Bou stretches along Menorca’s southern coastline as the island’s longest beach, a vast arc of golden sand opening onto shallow turquoise waters. Located within the municipality of Alaior, its expansive scale and relatively open surroundings make it a landmark of the southern coast, where the landscape combines dunes, low vegetation and a completely unobstructed horizon facing the Mediterranean.

Its shallow waters allow for comfortable and secure anchorage, ideal for relaxed swimming, snorkelling activities and prolonged stays on board within a luminous and stable environment. From the sea, the beach appears as an uninterrupted line of sand, with a more open character than many of Menorca’s smaller coves, creating a sense of freedom and fluid navigation. Within a charter route, Son Bou functions as a versatile stop along the southern coast, suitable both as a swimming point and as a transition between different anchorages along the eastern and southeastern sectors of the island.
