Cap Farrutx

Cap Farrutx

Cap Farrutx forms the eastern edge of the Bay of Alcúdia, in the northeast of Mallorca, marking the point where the coastline gradually opens towards more exposed waters. It is a natural transition zone between the sheltered bay and the wilder coastline of eastern Mallorca, characterised by low cliffs, rocky coves and stretches of almost untouched shoreline where human presence remains minimal.

The experience in this area is defined by the openness of the landscape and a broader interpretation of the Mediterranean. It is a scenic cruising area, with the possibility of occasional anchoring in favourable conditions, particularly around Betlem, where the coastline offers greater shelter. The waters retain remarkable clarity, and the overall sensation is one of space and continuity, with a coastline that feels more expansive and less structured. Within a nautical route through the northeast of the island, Cap Farrutx represents the threshold to the open sea, where the Bay of Alcúdia reaches its natural limit.
